So exactly how do we go about building your dream home entertainment system? As with any building operation, there will be dust, some noise and yes, depending on the position of the building operations relative to the rest of your home, some inconvenience. The result though more than makes up for the temporary discomfort. Below are some shots taken during the construction of a room and installation of a system which is our entry for the CEDIA 2009 awards. [ Expand page content... ] [ Collapse page content... ]
The basic room layout is already visible. With an enormous amount of cabling above the ceiling, proper support is critical. |
While the floors are sculpted we can already start laying wiring and cabling in the ceiling area. |
Some vibrant colours - even though now it's cable which will be hidden away. |
Cool eh? Lighting is important and our concept takes you beyond a mere cinema. This one's alive and the sky is (not) the limit! |
Viewed towards the front, you can already picture your favourite movie. |
Reclining chairs are in place. This is not your average movie house! |
Viewed from the front, this is like the real thing, with steplights. The works. Tickets please! |
A view towards the entrance, this entertainment room even sports real movie characters in display cabinets. |
Fine attention to detail is the order of the day, with multi-patterned carpets. |
He who controls the remote, controls the... entire place! Take a break whenever you want. |
A view to the front shows a screen that is large enough for all movie goers to enjoy. |
Along the sides, real movie posters of "forthcoming attractions" in your very own cinema. Fancy that. |
Moving behind the scenes for a moment, the heart of the system reveals high quality equipment.... |
... THX certified for the highest level of performance, including Audyssey equipment for unrivalled quality. |
Of course we need power to make it all work. Clean power. We ensure that the best power filters are employed here. |
One last look forward - a view to a kill? James would not mind sitting here now, we are sure. |
